Setting up Your Green Feathers Wi-Fi HD Birdbox Camera Through a Windows PC

Before You Begin

Test the Wi-Fi connection strength at the site of your bird box using a smartphone, tablet or laptop. We suggest that you have a signal strength of at least 30%. 

Download for Windows

Once downloaded, install the software.

Check your camera is connected to mains power and next to your router.

 

Connecting to your camera

Search for nearby Wi-Fi networks on your computer. The following name should appear beye_***. Select and enter the password 1234567890. This will connect your computer to the camera’s Wi-Fi network.

Should this Wi-Fi Network not appear it may mean that you need to reset the camera.  To do this press and hold the reset button for 15 seconds on the camera.

Adding your camera to the software

Load up the CMS5 software, pressing the login button when prompted.

Now select the Add Cameras option, selecting the camera from the list on the left and pressing Add. This will shift it to the “added devices” pane on the right.

Go back to the main view option so we can add the camera to Wi-Fi.

Connecting your camera to your Wi-Fi network

Click on the ‘Device Config’ option an select the camera off the left.

Now select the network option and press on the right arrow in the top right-hand corner, to scroll along until you see the Wi-Fi option.

Enable this and press the search button.

 

Select your Wi-Fi network from the list and tick the DHCP box.

Input your Wi-Fi password into the PPPOE Password box and press the apply button.

Your camera will be connected to Wi-Fi, if the camera has connected correctly your computer will no longer be connected to the camera.

 

Getting the live video feed up

Follow the steps for adding your camera, once done you will want to go to the main menu and select “Live”.

Now select the camera from the list on the right which will bring up the video feed for you.
